Last week I was honored to spend time with the composition studio at the Penn State School of Music. It was such a joy to talk about the craft of music with such a curious, intrepid gang of composers. I shared some of my work in their Thursday morning composition seminar and met one-on-one with a few students in lessons—so many great things happening in their music!
Heartfelt thanks to for Baljinder Sekhon for the invite (and ice cream from the on-campus creamery!) and of course to Paul Coleman for, in addition to his never-not-hectic schedule, finding time to being my host, tourguide, studio ambassador and all-around friend, colleague, and confidante. Can’t wait until I can visit this amazing department again!
